This currently applies to High School and Middle School classrooms as well as the District Board Room.  We will continue to roll out wireless projection technology each summer.

These instructions assume your projector is already turned on and you see the school background/logo.  If you do not see it, make sure your projector is on, and use the Source Search button to find the AirTame.

Connecting Wirelessly to your projector (teachers Mac computers)

On your mac, click the AirPlay icon on the top menu bar of your screenAirplay Icon and then click the name of your classroom.  A window will pop up asking for the AirPlay code for your room.  Your projector should now display a 4-digit code.  Type that code in on your computer and click ok.  After a few seconds, your computer screen should appear

To disconnect, click the same airplay icon on the top menu bar of your screen, and click Turn AirPlay off.

The purpose of the 4-digit random code is to prevent students from connecting to random rooms and displaying their screens.

Connecting Wirelessly to your projector (student Chromebooks)

Launch the Airtame App

Enter the IP address of your room’s Airtame (will be something like 10.30.11.201) and hit enter.

It will prompt for a 4 digit code.  The projector should now display a 4-digit code.  Type that code in on your computer.  After typing the correct code, the chromebook will ask if you want to present the entire screen or just a single window.  Usually a single window like a browser will suffice, but if you want to show multiple tabs, etc. then select whole screen.  Click the blue Share button when you’ve made a choice.

To disconnect, click the time on your menu bar (by default, bottom right of screen), and click the blue Stop button next to “AirTame is sharing your screen”.

Using Older Document Cameras

Older document cameras that hook up directly to the projector, rather than connecting through your computer, will still be hardwired to your projector.  To access them, use the Source Search button on your projector remote to cycle inputs from the AirTame to the VGA/Document Camera.
