If you are in need of assistance or would like to help a local child, please follow the information below. 

If your family is in need of assistance from the Nevada, IA Community Tree Program this holiday season:

To ensure privacy for families participating in the Nevada, IA Community Tree Program, a number will be assigned to each child’s tree rather than using the child’s name. Please list what you feel are the most important needs/wants of your child. It is very important to indicate the SIZE of all clothing/shoes that your child is in need of. Also, be specific about requesting games, books, etc. so that the person purchasing for your child has a better idea of what your child really wants.

At the end of the Nevada, IA Community Tree Program request form there will be a “submit” button that you must click so that we receive your request. You will receive an emailed copy of your response after it is submitted. Please be sure you receive this email copy so you know your request was received.

You will be contacted when all your gifts arrive during the week of Monday, December 15th through Friday, December 19th. As this week approaches, we will notify you of pick-up details. 

If you want to help a local child:

  • To purchase for a local child, starting Monday, November 3rd, tree tags can be chosen at the NCRC (1037 8th Street), the Main Street Nevada office (1015 6th Street), United Methodist Church (1036 7th Street) and at Central Elementary School (925 H Ave). Please make sure you write your contact information and the number of your tree tag on the provided sign out form. 
  • All purchased gifts MUST be returned to the NCRC by Monday, December 1st. 
  • DO NOT wrap the gifts, but you can donate wrapping paper if you choose to do so.  
  • Please include your name and tree tag number when you drop off your purchases.
  • If you would rather make a monetary donation, your checks can be made out to “NCRC Community Tree”. Please mail it or drop it off at the NCRC, 1037 8th Street.
