Some detail on the work being done on Nevada Central 2 / Grizzly Flats “Emma Nevada”.
A 2-6-0 mogul type built in 1881 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as Nevada Central 2 named “Sidney Dillon”. Name was later removed. Retired in 1938 and purchased by Disney animator Ward Kimball. He named the locomotive “Emma Nevada for his full size Grizzly Flats backyard railroad. It was donated to the Orange Empire Railway Museum after his passing along with the rest of the railroad equipment he owned.
