Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame

The Nevada High School Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame was created in 2025 to recognize exceptional accomplishments of former Nevada High School performers, artists, and coaches.

Qualifying for a Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame Nomination

A performer or artist must meet two of the following criteria:

Performing Arts Criteria

  • Acceptance into an all-state speech or music ensemble.

  • Solo/Small Ensemble Festival Outstanding Performer Selection.

  • Multiple superior festival ratings.

  • Collegiate honors or competitions in the field.

  • Professional honors or achievements in the field.

  • Multiple-year Conference Fine Arts Festival

  • Outstanding leadership or character that impacted greater culture of program at significant levels.

Visual Arts Criteria

  • Received state-level award.

  • Received recognition for career in the visual arts.

  • Major contributor to community arts.

  • Award winner at Conference Fine Arts Festival

  • Outstanding leadership or character that impacted greater culture of program as significant levels.

Additionally:

  1. Five years must have elapsed following the nominee’s graduation from high school.

  2. Students must have graduated from Nevada High School or a consolidated school district that has been absorbed by NCSD (Shipley, Fernald, Milford).

  3. In the initial year of the Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame during the 2025-2026 school year, one inductee will be inducted into the Hall of Fame from each of the six disciplines.

    • Future years’ induction #’s will be determined by Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame Voting members.

  4. Nomination criteria are a minimum qualification for consideration by the Fine Arts Hall of Fame Committee. Meeting nomination criteria does not guarantee a future spot in the Nevada Fine Arts Hall of Fame, but it does make the graduate eligible for consideration by the committee.

  5. Fine Arts Hall of Fame voting members include one representative of each discipline, the NHS activities director & the NHS HS Principal.

Submit a Nomination

Nominations for future Hall of Fame members can be submitted through the Fine & Performing Arts Hall of Fame Google Form.

All nominations between now & Dec 31st, 2030 will be kept on file for consideration through Dec 31st, 2035. After Dec 31st, 2030, nominations will be kept on file and considered for up to five years from their nomination date.

Nominators will receive an automatic notification that their submission has been received via Google Forms to their provided email address. After the nomination, the communication of award winners will be delivered to the nominees personally, shared on the district’s social media pages & celebrated at our the Fine & Performing Art Hall of Fame Celebration. Nominations not accepted within the allotted time period will be removed from consideration. Nominators can renominate at that time, if they please. We expect many Hall of Fame nominations and will not follow up directly with nominator when time has elapsed.


Fine & Performing Arts Sponsor/Leader/Coach

Qualifying for a Fine & Performing Arts Leader Hall of Fame Nomination

  • A multitude of years as a successful sponsor.

  • Outstanding contributions to student participation.

  • Consistent All-State Festival participation by students.

  • Directing individuals or ensembles who win the IHSSA category banner at the All-State Speech Festival

  • Directing ensembles that win their championship.

  • Creation of events that have a tremendous impact on the district or state.

  • Outstanding leadership or charater that impacted greater culture of program as significant levels.

 

Additionally:
