Lillian Frideres qualified for National History Day in the Individual Website category at the State History Day Contest held at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines on April 25.
Lillian’s project is titled “Vietnamese Refugees in Iowa: Ray’s Humanitarian and Controversial Relocation.” Only two projects from each of the nine NHD categories are selected at the State level to advance to the National competition, which will be held virtually this year from June 12 to 18.
