The Board recognizes and appreciates the service of its employees. Employees who have served the District faithfully and who retire or resign may be honored by the Board, administration and staff in a manner fitting to the retiring or resigning employee.
It will be the responsibility of the superintendent to determine the appropriate form of honor for the resigning or retiring employee. If District funds will be used, the superintendent’s guidepost in making this determination will be the reasonableness of the expenditure.
If the form of honor thought appropriate by the superintendent involves unusual expense to the District, the superintendent will seek prior approval from the Board.
