The board recognizes some students require programming beyond the regular education program. The Gifted and Talented Program is also known as/referred to as Talented and Gifted (TAG). Systematic and uniform procedures are used for screening, referring, identifying, and serving gifted and talented students. The board will review the progress of gifted and talented students at least annually for the purposes of ensuring the district-provided services meet the academic needs of gifted and talented students.
It is the responsibility of the superintendent to develop a talented and gifted program which provides for program evaluation, and training of employees.
