In general, students are the responsibility of the licensed staff. As noted below, classified personnel should also assume authority in this matter:
- A bus driver is responsible for the students on his/her bus when he/she alone is in charge of the students.
- Certain clerks and secretaries are designated to deal with students in attendance and related matters.
- A custodian is in charge of a building when no licensed personnel are present.
- All classified personnel should intervene or report to the proper authorities when persons are being destructive of public property and no licensed staff member is immediately present.
