The Board supports the use of innovative methods and the use of technology in the education program.  The Board encourages District personnel to utilize any and all means of technology within their curriculum.

Technology is no longer a standalone and separate subject in education.  Technology is an integral part of modern life, and the instructional program must reflect that by being hand‐in‐ hand with technology integration to ultimately foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

The Board will adopt a plan for the efficient and effective use of technology in the instruction program.  The plan will provide for the understanding and use of current technology by staff and students and will include a procedure to review the District’s utilization of technology as a teaching and learning tool. The District will incorporate into its comprehensive school improvement plan demonstrated use of technology to meet its student learning goals.

The District Technology Director and staff, in conjunction with staff and students, will plan for the efficient and effective use of technology within the instructional program on an individual teacher level, building level, and district level.   Plans will be consistently reviewed to reflect the rapidly changing and evolving landscape, with annual reports to the Board regarding progress.
