Public records of the District may be viewed by the public during the regular business hours of the administrative office of the District. These hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, except for holidays and breaks.
Persons wishing to review the District’s public records will contact the Board Secretary and request to review specific records. The Board Secretary will make arrangements for the interested party to view the records as soon as practical.
Photocopies and/or electronic copies of public records will be given to individuals upon request. However, the individual must pre‐pay the District for all costs incurred by the District in preparing and mailing the copies.
Pursuant to Iowa law, the Board has determined certain records need to be confidential as their disclosure could jeopardize the safety of persons or property. Confidential records include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Security procedures
- Emergency preparedness procedures
- Evacuation procedures
- Security codes and passwords for computers
- Student records
- Employee records
- Closed Board records
