The Board, recognizing alternatives to education outside the formal public school system, may authorize the establishment of a home school assistance program. If established, the program will assist students receiving competent private instruction by providing licensed employees of the District to assist the parent, guardian or legal custodian in the education of the student.

The parent, guardian or legal custodian registering for the home school assistance program will agree to comply with the requirements established by the District.

Students registered for the home school assistance program will be counted in the certified enrollment.

It is the responsibility of the superintendent to develop a plan regarding this policy.
